And by the way (I'm the Anonymous from the previous entry) it says a lot about Google When they got bought maybe there was some hope that they did this in order to take advantage of Google's resources and maybe also help some of the copyright battles of the time (circa 2006) And well, we all know how that turned out, despite winning the lawsuit against Viacom Youtube/Google seemingly went above and beyond in placating the various content industries, seemingly to a greater extent than the DMCA required And Google is itself totally captured, ideologically or otherwise. How they are on their own, and maybe they even share the same censorship apparatus with Youtube I dislike a lot of other 'big' tech but Google completely does deserve to be broken up because of things like this
